| OPERATION ART ATTACK: PALETTES FOR PEACE PROJECT
PROJECT DIRECTIONS 1. Choose any size or shape wooden palette. Suggested minimum size is 10” x 14”. Please note that paint and glue do not adhere well to shiny-surfaced (melamine) palettes. The following websites have wooden palettes ranging in price from $2 to $7, plus Shipping &Handling: www.dickblick.com; www.jerrysartarama.com; www.aswexpress.com; www.allartsupplies.com. Prime your palette with any household primer. Decorate the palette using any medium you choose. Feel free to add dimensional objects to your creation, drill holes in it, hang things from it, cut it up and reassemble it, etc. etc. Write poems, songs, letters on your palette. The only limitation is your own imagination. Express your dream for an end to war and violence and your hopes for a society focused on a sustainable future for all beings. 2. Fill out the contact information form at the bottom of this sheet and include it with your submission, and WRITE YOUR FULL NAME SOMEWHERE ON THE BACK OF YOUR PALETTE. 3. If you would like, include a BRIEF (100 words or less) artist’s statement with your palette. INCLUDE YOUR FULL NAME ON THE ARTIST’S STATEMENT. 4.
